(hereafter referred to as TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC)

Waiver, Release & Indemnity

I, the Releasee hereby agree, in return for being a member of Toronto International Trap & Skeet Ltd. (TITSCL), Ontario Olympic Trapshooting Association (OOTA) and/or Toronto International Rifle and Pistol Club (TIRPC)

To release the TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC, event organizers, sanctioning bodies and TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC sponsors and all of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, volunteers, contractors, representatives, successors or assigns (collectively the "Releasees") from any liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense (collectively "LOSS") that I may suffer as a result of any participation in and transportation to or from any TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC competition, practice, event, activity or program(s) (collectively referred to as "TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC Program(s)"), due to any cause, including negligence or breach of contract.
To waive any claim that I have or may have against any or all of the Releasees regarding any matter, including without limitation, any claim arising out of any TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC use or programs and events.
To indemnify the releasee from any and all claims, actions or Loss resulting in any way from my membership and associated participation or participation of the minor named below.
This document shall bind my heirs, executors, administrators, and representatives and will have effect throughout my participation in any TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC event and throughout my attendance at the TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC facility or any other facility used by TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC for any activity.
That whether or not I have a valid Possession and Acquisition License (PAL) I am not disqualified or prohibited from being in possession of a firearm even under direct and immediate supervision and further, that if I bring a guest to the shooting facility I agree that any such guest will also have a valid PAL or, alternatively, that I will ensure that the guest is directly and immediately supervised by a person who has a valid PAL who will ensure direct and immediate supervision is employed.
That TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC is authorized to take photos of me or members of my family or my guests at TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC Event(s) for publicity and promotional purposes.
In the event that TITSCL or OOTA is unable to operate due to circumstances beyond their control, including but not limited to natural disaster or other unforeseen events, membership fees are non-refundable.
I hereby acknowledge and agree that TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC may use and disclose the information on this form to enable TITSCL, OOTA & TIRPC to facilitate insurance or comply with CFO requirements.

At all times, I agree to listen to and obey the field Range Safety Officers and TITSCL employees for specific instructions relating to the clay fields or parking lots.

I understand that I need to unbox my shotgun at my vehicle, and carry it action open with muzzle pointing in a safe direction (up or down), to the field of play. I understand that shotguns are to be stored muzzle up in the racks.

I understand that the action of my firearm must remain open at all times until it is my turn to shoot. I will not load (close the action) the firearm until I am on the shooting pad or stall, and the person before me has already shot.I will never change stations with a shell in my firearm's chamber.

I will always direct the muzzle of the shotgun down range when loading with finger outside of the trigger guard. O/U’s I will flip them up to close and for ALL shotgun types I will make sure that the muzzle is pointed above the trap house (parallel to the ground) when closing the action. I understand that the muzzle MUST NEVER be pointing at the cement pad or the ground directly in front of the pad, and NEVER rested or placed on my foot.

I will not load more than 2 shells for trap doubles, wobble trap, skeet stations 1 through 7and Olympic trap. I will not load more than 1 shell for skeet station 8, trap singles or trap handicap.

In the case of an ammunition malfunction, I know I must control the muzzle down range and wait 60 seconds prior to removing the shell.

I will refrain from being under the influence of alcoholic beverages or medications that might impair judgment prior to, and during, shooting sports activities. Further, I understand that possession and influence of unlawful drugs is expressly prohibited at the shooting range facility, and that any person(s) who, strictly by our observations, appears to be under the influence of alcohol or unlawful drugs or emotionally unstable, shall be denied access to any part of the shooting range facility.

I will not walk onto an active field to retrieve spent hulls while others are preparing to shoot. I will not walk in front of the skeet low house chute, or 5 stand target thrower. I will not walk forward of the trap field 16yd line, or forward of the skeet houses.

I understand that I am to have on my person, my current Membership ID at all times. For safety, if my ID is NOT visible the Range Safety Officier may ask me to provide and I will cooperate. I understand that my membership is not transferable, not for resale and is revocable for misconduct. Anyone caught using another person's membership badge or card will be removed from the facility and may face other additional penalties, and membership will be revoked or denied.

I understand I am to always wear the proper eye and ear protection while shooting or acting as a spectator in close proximity to the shooting fields. I will not distract others preparing to shoot. I understand that cell phones MUST NOT be used on the firing line, however I may carry in my pocket on silent mode to avoid distracting others. Smoking and vaping in designated areas ONLY.

I have read and understand this document and by signing this document I acknowledge having read, understood and agreed to the above Waiver, Release and Indemnity and further agree to conduct myself in accordance with the TITSCL & OOTA safety policies and requirements.
